先生啊，我们争吵都是根据着书本的，就像你们有讲礼貌的书一样。我可以把个种程度列举出来。第一，有礼的驳斥，第二，谦恭的讽刺，第三，粗暴的答复，第四，大胆的谴责，第五，挑衅的反攻，第六，委婉的说谎，第七，公然的说谎。

Rosalind took a chain from around her neck and gave it to Orlando, saying, “Wear this for me.

You have wrestled well, and it is not only your opponent that you have overpowered(轻松战胜).”

Orlando said nothing in reply, and so the ladies turned to go.

“What prevents me from speaking?” he thought to himself.

“Why cannot I even say ‘Thank you’ when she has been so kind to me?

Even though I have defeated Charles, it seems that someone much weaker has defeated me.”

From one point of view, the Duke(公爵)and the lords who had gone with him into the forest had lost much—land, money, homes, servants, safety, titles, position, and reputation—but they seemed strangely happy.

The Duke was saying so to the lords around him:

Now, my dear friends and brothers far from home,

Has not old custom made this life more sweet

Than that of luxury? Are not these woods

More free from danger than the envious court?

Even when Ifreeze withcold, I smile and say

‘This is no flattery(阿谀奉承); this biting wind

Honestly tells me who and what I am.’

Sweet are the uses of adversity(逆境),

Which, like the toad(蟾蜍), ugly and poisonous,

Yet wears a precious jewel in his head.

And this our life, away from public view,

Finds tongues in trees, books in the running streams,
