  有位同学在茶话会上发问，如何界定一个人是心理障碍患者还是健康的人，也就是俗话说的如何界定一个人是精神病还是正常人呢？

  这个同学提到了福柯的观点，所谓的精神病是被文化、权力建构的结果，相同的一个特征，放在不同的文化背景下，有的会被界定为疯子，有的会被当做正常人。

  我们共读的这本霍克西玛的《变态心理学》提到一个名词叫作「连续谱模型」，连续谱模型的两端是绝对的异常和绝对的健康，我们大多数人都是徘徊在中间的不同位置，只要不影响正常的工作和生活，那就是合理的。

  这让我想到这本书里讲「双向情感障碍」的章节，有些作家、艺术家都罹患了这个心理障碍，然而他们也获益于此，躁狂阶段的艺术家会文思泉涌思维敏捷，因此留下名篇佳作，这是一把双刃剑。

  人们说“艺术家都是疯子”，可以这么说也可以不是这么说，我想更合理的说法是：

  这是一种特质，而不是一种疾病。

  它展示了人类发展与现状，都是有目共睹的事实。人类走向上的预见，也是显而易见的。它予以一种意识上点醒与引导。这种讯息传递，会使一部份人类的意识形态发生转变，亦会激励那些“被拣选的人”，对于救助人类社会起到积极的推动作用。

  但并非人人都拥有开放的头脑。逻辑思维，常常是拓展认知的阻碍。

  其实，任何一本书，都无需期求为所有的读者所理解和接受。
